UFC 209 - Live stream, Fight card, PPV and Preview

UFC 209: Woodley vs. Thompson 2 is an upcoming mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that will be held on March 4, 2017 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

The event was originally scheduled to take place on February 11 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. However, due to a lack of suitable headliners for the original UFC 208 (scheduled for Anaheim, California), that event was postponed to August 5 and an originally scheduled UFC 209 to be held in Brooklyn was renamed as the new UFC 208. Therefore, this event was also renamed from UFC 210 to UFC 209. This will be the fourth UFC event held in the venue.

Ahead of next month’s UFC 209 event, which features a championship doubleheader, the organization has released an extended video preview.
Not everyone was happy about it, though.

UFC 209 Live takes place March 4 at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. The main card, including two title fights, airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized.

However, the top two fights are known and set: welterweight champ Tyron Woodley (16–3–1 MMA, 6–2–1 UFC) vs. challenger Stephen Thompson (13–1–1 MMA, 8–1–1 UFC) in a rematch, as well as Khabib Nurmagomedov (24–0 MMA, 8–0 UFC) vs. Tony Ferguson (22–3 MMA, 12–1 UFC) for an interim lightweight belt.

Woodley and Thompson fought to a majority draw in November at UFC 205. Woodley, who won the title from Robbie Lawler in mid-2016, now gets a second shot at defeating №2-ranked Thompson.
The latest UFC 209 fight card includes:

Woodley vs Thompson — for welterweight title

Tony Ferguson vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov– for interim lightweight title

Rashad Evans vs. Daniel Kelly

David Teymur vs. Lando Vannata

Mark Hunt vs. Alistair Overeem

Mark Godbeer vs. TBA

Mirsad Bektic vs. Darren Elkins

Iuri Alcantara vs. Luke Sanders

Paul Craig vs. Tyson Pedro

Ed Herman vs. Igor Pokrajac

While UFC 208 failed to impress, UFC 209 will not disappoint with such a stacked card. On March 4, 2017, the octagon will be set at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. There are two highly-anticipated fights atop the card–Tyron Woodley will be defending his Welterweight Title against Stephen Thompson for the second time and the interim Lightweight title is on the line in a fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson. Fight fans are in for a treat. Keep reading for predictions for the entire main card.
